The position

Aurify seeking a motivated junior devops engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a foundational understanding of cloud technologies and a strong willingness to learn and grow in the field. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across various public cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS and also private platforms (Xen, OpenNebula). Familiarity with tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and Helm is a plus. Training and mentorship will be provided to help you develop your skills.

What you’ll be doing

• Infrastructure support
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of our global infrastructure, learning how to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Participate in implementing best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Assist in building Linux containers and supporting the underlying Kubernetes infrastructure, including the maintenance of virtual machines.
• Security and Compliance Awareness
  • Learn and contribute to the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect applications and data.
  • Gain awareness of compliance requirements and industry best practices in cyber security.
• Support the preparation and implementation of a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, including troubleshooting and assisting with issues

Your requirements and skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and a strong willingness to learn and grow in cloud engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS (experience with one or more is a plus).
• Interest in and eagerness to learn Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Helm, MDM(JAMF/Intune).
• Strong interest in Linux.
• Familiarity with CICD/GitOPS (Jenkins/ArgoCD)

Soft skills

• Willingness to work closely with senior engineers and learn from them.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Any relevant coursework or certifications is a plus.
• Be assertive, knowledgeable and trustworthy
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
